A lovely Bolthole for four in the heart of Beaumaris
Gwyndy sits on historic Gaol Street in central Beaumaris, just around the corner from the old town gaol which is now a popular visitor attraction. All the attractions of Beaumaris- its' lovely pubs, restaurants, shops and galleries are just a short stroll away as are the lovely Victorian pier, medieval castle and the beach.
A bright and comfortable holiday cottage, Gwyndy is a welcoming home from home with every detail well considered.
The ground floor is open and sociable, with a large dining table under the sunny window. Beyond, a cosy sitting area ranged in front of the wood-burning stove has funky Loaf sofas to lounge on.
There's a well-equipped kitchen off to one side, separate but still part of the open downstairs space. Doors lead out to a high walled courtyard garden, a delightful private space to relax in, especially on an evening with a good fire blazing in the chiminea.
Upstairs, you'll find the main bedroom with a king-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom. Beyond is a twin bedroom and a separate shower room, perfect for washing away the day after time out and about exploring Anglesey.
You will be spoilt for choice should you wish to eat out with good cafes, pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. Enjoy dinner at The Bull, The Bishopsgate Hotel and The Midland, treat yourselves to afternoon tea at Beau's Tea Room or possibly the best ice cream on Anglesey at The Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour. Take out fish and chips from The Dockshack or Neptune Bistro and days when an easy option is the best. And with Mercado and Tredici which both combine a butcher's shop with delicatessen, seafood from The Menai Seafood Company and the excellent Central Bakery, there's plenty of choice on your doorstep.
This lovely holiday cottage is a perfect base in which to spend time with family or friends, getting to know this delightful corner of North Wales.
