A spacious and stylish Bolthole in the heart of Beaumaris
A two-minute walk from the centre of bustling Beaumaris with its busy independent shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs, brings you to the front door of The Hideaway and a different world exists beyond.
Inside you'll find a peaceful, luxurious dog-friendly haven in which to recharge your batteries ready for your next adventure. Step through the porch into the entrance vestibule and you'll immediately feel yourself relaxing. Two sets of glass doors through to the snug and the breakfast room beyond mean that even the older, original parts of this house are light-filled and bright. The snug has armchairs and sofas to relax in in front of a wood-burning stove set in the beautiful stone fireplace. The breakfast room beyond, with its french windows leading out to the garden, is an inspiring space irrespective of the season.
Beyond this is the well-equipped kitchen at the heart of the house, with all the additions you would expect in a house of this quality. Doors lead out to the garden again and to the utility room (with direct garden access). A couple of steps up take you to the large main living room with separate seating areas, French windows through to the garden and a second wood-burning stove.
The garden is a particularly special feature of The Hideaway. You'll find lovely flagged areas, outdoor sofas and a barbeque and paths lead through to spaces worthy of any secret garden with mature planting and delightful herbaceous borders. Over the stone wall stands the beautiful 700-year-old Church of St Mary's and St Nicholas which is well worth a visit.
Also on the ground floor is a king-size bedroom with a Japanese jacuzzi bath in its ensuite bathroom and a fifth reception room - the large stylish dining room which is the perfect place to get the whole group together in the evening. There is also a ground floor walk-in shower room.
Upstairs, on the first floor, you'll find four spacious bedrooms - three with king-size beds (one of which has an ensuite shower room) and one twin room (the beds can be made as a Superking double on request). There is also a family bathroom with a slipper bath on this floor.
On the second floor you'll find the eaves bedroom which has full-size twin beds but due to the limited headroom may only be suitable for children.
Beaumaris is a thriving coastal town with plenty of places to eat out and things to do right on your doorstep. Children of all ages will love to explore the town's medieval castle and go crabbing on the Victorian Pier, where you can also take a boat trip out to Puffin Island or along the Strait. There's a good play park and paddling pool to boot, offering hours of enjoyment for younger guests. The beach here is sand and pebble and has the most wonderful views out over the Menai Strait towards the mountains of the Carneddau and Snowdonia. With the Anglesey coastal path nearby and the whole of the island within easy reach, The Hideaway is a perfect coastal base for a wonderful holiday, for up to 12 guests, at any time of year.
