Once upon a time, Ty Melyn provided stabling for a nearby house, now its a perfectly formed Bolthole, tucked away on a quiet lane within a hundred yards of the beach in beautiful Beaumaris. It sits with its gable end to the lane which means that what was once the stable yard is now a private and sunny, south facing courtyard garden. Bamboo hedging creates outside 'rooms' and a bistro set, parasol and comfortable outside sofa's make enjoying the space easy.
From the courtyard, a stable door leads into the kitchen and a glazed door into the sitting room; sea air and sunlight fill the house. The two bedrooms upstairs are also bright and sunny and as equally well-appointed and carefully furnished as downstairs. Both have sea views but the best sea view is to be had from the claw footed slipper bath in the bathroom window!
Dining in is a pleasure, either cooking in the well appointed kitchen or barbequing outside but you will be spoilt for choice should you wish to eat out with excellent cafes, pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. Enjoy dinner at The Bull, The Bishopsgate Hotel and The Midland, treat yourselves to afternoon tea at Beau's Tea Room or possibly the best ice cream on Anglesey at The Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour. Take out fish and chips from The Dockshack or Neptune Bistro and days when an easy option is the best. And with Mercado and Tredici which both combine a butcher's shop with delicatessen, seafood from The Menai Seafood Company and the excellent Central Bakery, there's plenty of choice on your doorstep.
