A welcoming holiday cottage for six by the beach
Cwt Drecs is one of four wondrously transformed old barns with the beach as their backdrop - what a location…
There’s no remnant of farming here at this welcoming holiday cottage. A spacious living room with a vast sofa for lazing around keeps your toes toasted with the flame effect wood-burner glowing.
The kitchen has a massive window and is dining heaven for 6. Chefs will cook up a storm with all the mod cons they need.
Bedrooms are charming in neutral tones, with TVs in each and ensuite bathrooms.
This is fabulous walking and cycling country. The Anglesey Coastal path is on the doorstep, stretching away in both directions, and there is a web of country lanes and hills for bikes.
Blas Mwy (The Black Lion) is a short drive away, offering proper local home-cooked food and, in the winter, a fire. Sandy beach, close by, is ideal for sandcastle enthusiasts. The Wavecrest cafe (for lovers of enormous cream scones) or the Lobster Pot restaurant (for lovers of fresh seafood) at Church Bay are your rewards after a walk along the Anglesey coastal path.
Views at home are just as stunning – step out for the invariably spectacular sunset. Light up a BBQ and enjoy a beer on your patio, and gaze out at the mountains of Snowdonia.
The star-gazing here is good on cloud-free nights. You can't help but feel your spirits lift here.
