A stylish waterside Bolthole on the Menai Strait
The Moorings is a stylish holiday house sitting in a magical waterside location on the Cadnant estuary, a small tidal inlet which flows into the Menai Straits near Menai Bridge.
This is a lovely, "upside-down" Bolthole. Step into the living area, which has a kitchen and dining area to one end and a cosy sitting area with wood burning stove to the other. Step out of the kitchen onto a small decked balcony, perfect for quiet al fresco suppers.
Downstairs on the ground floor are two bedrooms, one king-size, the other a twin bedroom as well as a roomy wet room.
From the ground floor, you can access the amazing waterside deck with its own floating pontoon: a perfect place to launch paddleboards, moor your boat or just sit and gaze at the water. What could be better?
Garden lovers will be delighted with The Mooring's proximity to Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, a treat to discover. The tea room is very good too!
The coastal town of Menai Bridge is a 5-minute walk away and has a good selection of restaurants, which include the Michelin-starred Sosban & The Old Butchers, Dylan's and The Hydeout BBQ & Smokehouse Restaurant, as well as some superb pubs. Telford's beautiful suspension bridge spans the Strait, linking Anglesey with the mainland. There is also a Waitrose supermarket and a selection of independent shops and delis.
Beaumaris is 3 miles away along the coast, with a stunning medieval castle and Victorian pier waiting to be explored and a wealth of cafes, pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Further afield, the whole of Anglesey is on your doorstep, and you can be on the mainland heading into Snowdonia or Conwy in no time. Bliss!
NOTE: There are no fixed railings on the waterside deck, so children and pets must be supervised at all times
NOTE: The internal stairs are metal and open tread.
