A peaceful holiday Hideaway for six on a private estate
Enjoy big views at 5 Bodafon. This lovely holiday house is a part of a peaceful place of history set within remarkable grounds at the Bodafon Estate.
Home to a handful of cleverly restored outbuildings, the Bodafon Estate nestles at the base of Bodafon Mountain and is just a dart from the beaches.
5 Bodafon is utterly unspoilt, tucked away with lush views across fields to trees. With masses of garden wrapped around the house, a wilding paddock home to a tree swing and the promise of hours of fun, this is the place for children to free range in plenty of space.
A patio beckons for a leisurely supper on the outdoor sofa with pizza from the oven or fish on the BBQ. On a quiet evening, this is a perfect spot to sit and watch for owls. You are welcome to use the parkland space, too – a place to lose yourself, literally.
If you can bear to leave the gardens, inside 5 Bodafon, a stone Inglenook in the sitting room houses a wood burner. Ceilings are beamed and light floods in through south-facing windows onto lovely artwork. This is a cosy spot for the evening to play games by the fire.
The kitchen has all everything you need and has a dining table for chatting and informal light-flooded breakfasts.
A striking ground-floor bedroom is a place for deep slumber. Wrap yourself in fluffy towels after a shower in the ensuite shower room to start the day. Both upstairs bedrooms are equally deeply comfortable and very quiet. Two bathrooms here mean no queues.
Locally are sublime walks from the door, miles of cycling and a wealth of wildlife. Pop to the beach at Lligwy with its lively cafe or walk the coastal path around Moelfre and enjoy a locally made ice cream from Moelfre Ice Cream Parlour. Head to Red Wharf Bay for lunch at the Ship Inn or The Boathouse. Or, stay put, settle in and enjoy the peace.
