Drive down narrow lanes with tall hedges to this little barn set within an old stone courtyard in the estate at Plas Llechylched – built by the High Sherriff of Anglesey in 1866. Gamekeeper’s is perfect for family holidays with its own patio and hot tub and BBQ for al fresco meals.
There’s plenty of comfortable seating indoors, a big TV for rainy days and a merry wood- burner to keep you cosy. You cook in the large kitchen, flooded with light, on an Aga (cooler months only) or on a conventional hob with plenty of room for joiners in. On summer evenings settle on the patio with a book and a glass of wine while something delicious simmers in the kitchen and children rampage safely. Or soak up the fresh air in the hot tub.
Bedrooms are simple and pretty and there is a large family walk in shower room. Everything is on one level to keep it easy. You can explore the stunning communal garden with its mature trees, colourful shrubs and flowers. Or head further down the coast to explore the beaches at Rhosneigr and walk the coastal paths. Traeth Crigyll and Traeth Llydan are magnets for the enthusiast of the water sports. Trac Mon is just down the road for all petrol heads or a sedate game of golf at Rhosneigr can be just as exciting. Eryri (Snowdonia National park) is 30 mins away and Menai Bridge and Beaumaris are coastal villages with plenty of places to linger at.
Unwind or take to adventures – the best of both worlds can be found here at Gamekeeper’s.
