Trearddur Bay cottage for 8 in a spectacular clifftop location
A magical and enviable spot, Min Y Mor sits nestled on the Ravenspoint headland in Trearddur Bay. This single-storey home offers tranquillity in a charming setting ideal for families, ramblers and
nature lovers in a favoured and popular destination. Watch spectacular sunsets or moody sea storms unfold across the dramatic Irish Sea.
An open-plan kitchen and dining space opens onto a terrace and grassy headland. A big kitchen table means a group could celebrate memorably – an anniversary, a birthday or perhaps just friends toasting the breathtaking views. As light fades, drift to four simple, pretty bedrooms in soothing tones. Two twin bedrooms are unfussy and comfortable, with good linen. A traditional and spacious pastel blue master bedroom with sweeping views and an ensuite. The other double room has patio doors out on to a sheltered terrace, so fling open the doors to enjoy the magnificent views. After a day of hiking or wild swimming, enjoy a refreshing drenching in the walk-in shower room also suitable for wheelchair users. The living room is a colourful haven with vast windows looking out across the bay and beyond to the Lleyn peninsula – the place to be to lounge on window seats and gaze out to sea or snuggle up and play games if it’s a wild day.
Windswept and romantic, the rugged Anglesey coastline is spectacular with many attractive sandy coves. Soak up the sunshine on the terrace or pack a picnic and head by foot for endless fine
beaches. Walkers can join the coastal path a few metres from the house for bracing walks to Rhoscolyn or to Porthdafach. Kayakers can drop into B-Active at Rhoscolyn for lessons or hire a
paddleboard from Blu Chameleon in the local Trearddur Bay village. Sailors can launch from Main Bay and then bob along the Trearddur coast or surfers can head for Rhosneigr.
The fishing is superb, so there is no excuse – a lobster is a must! Why not visit The Stores restaurant and deli for a selection of irresistible delicacies. Or pick-up a fish and chip supper at Scarlett’s in
Trearddur Bay. The Sea Shanty has ice cream treats and much more. Ocean’s Edge is perfectly placed on the beach to treat yourselves to a fabulous cocktail and a stroll back for supper. The local golf course is down the road. RSPB Cymru Ynys Lawd (South Stack RSPB) is a puffin spotter’s delight also on sea cliffs at South Stack. The café and cakes are a worthy reward after the many steps needed to view the famous lighthouse. Drop off the buckets and spades by the door, return to your beautiful space on the terrace and unwind.
