The evenings are slowly but surely getting lighter as we head into another new month and, if you look closely, the very first hints of early spring are there. Catkins, early camellias, snowdrops and hellebores are brightening up winter gardens and hedgerows and the birds are ever grateful for a sprinkle of food on cold mornings. The beaches are windswept and beautiful - perfect for head-clearing strolls - woolly hats and gloves recommended. And the highest mountains, on and off, are dusted with snow. Come away for a few days and enjoy a change of scene to recharge and refresh.
