1. The beautiful scenery
The sauna has a panoramic window viewing the coastline with its unique wildlife. The dunes have been classified as Special Area for Conservation and are of international importance for biodiversity. You are completely immersed in nature when experiencing the sauna. You can choose to cool down by just standing in the wind, going for a walk to the sea, using the shower outside the sauna trailer or taking the plunge in the sea!
2. Health benefits
Saunas offer numerous health benefits, including relaxation, improved circulation, and stress reduction. The heat helps to open pores, detoxify the body, and promote clearer skin. Regular sauna sessions can also aid in muscle recovery, alleviate joint pain, and boost overall cardiovascular health, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The calming environment promotes relaxation and enhances mental wellbeing.
3. Support a family run business
Sawna Bach was brought to life by two families, who had the vision to bring sauna culture to North Wales and create a place for community, that is not the pub. They all have very young children - in fact, their youngest additions of the family were born just shortly after Sawna Bach opened its doors! You’ll sometimes find them walking their babies to sleep in the pram so they can enjoy a sauna themselves. (If you bring your sleeping little ones, you can “park” them just outside the sauna window and keep an eye on them at all times).
Sawna Bach fits up to eight people in a private session and six people in a shared session. Customers can book either 50 or 80 minutes, but the duration doesn't dictate your time spent in the sauna. Typically, guests enjoy around 10 minutes inside before cooling off outside, whether with a cold shower or a dip in the sea, before going back in. There's no rush or pressure to go into the sea; simply tune in to your body's cues and embrace what feels right for you on any given day. Prices start from £15 per person. Dogs are welcome too - we have space outside to tie them down and a water bowl.
You can book directly on their website www.saunawales.co.uk, and connect with them on Instagram and Facebook.
P.S. There is some big news to share as well – from mid November 2024 onwards, Sawna Bach will operate another sauna at Llyn Padarn in Llanberis if you fancy a little day trip to the Eryri National Park (Snowdonia).
