Location

The village was once an artist's colony (a number of notable artists are buried in the parish church) and was on the old drovers route over the nearby Carneddau. The excellent village pub, Ye Olde Bull Inn, has fed and watered generations of drovers during its 500 year history and is a pleasant walk from the Piggery. There are excellent walks from the house up to the high Carneddau following the drovers routes. The world renowned Bodnant Gardens is on the opposite side of the valley as is Zip World Forest. Conwy, with its mediaeval castle, excellent independent shops and well regarded restaurants, is a 15 minute drive away. The gateway to Eryri (Snowdonia)- the village of Betws y Coed, is 20 minutes in the opposite direction.
