A cosy, Grade II listed Bolthole for eight located in the heart of the coastal town of Beaumaris on the island of Anglesey. This dog-friendly holiday cottage is steeped in history. Formerly a public house dating back to at least 1829, you will be able to spot its original character features.
With restaurants, cafes and pubs all within walking distance and a host of independent shops to explore, there is plenty to do nearby. Less than 5-minutes amble from the sea, your four-legged friends will enjoy walks along the coast, tails wagging happily in the fresh sea air.
Hang up your coats in the lobby at Sailors' Return and step into the open plan sitting and sitting room. Relax in front of the wood-burning stove on chilly evenings or on warm summer nights, throw open the french doors and enjoy a glass of wine or two in the small courtyard.
The modern fitted kitchen is well-equipped, ideal for cooking up tasty meals after days out and about, exploring the island. The dining table seats eight, perfect for sociable dinners and drinks.
One double ensuite bedroom is tucked away on the ground floor. Climb the stairs to the first floor where there are three further bedrooms – one ensuite kingsize, one double and one twin. Wash sandy days away in the family shower room next door.
Children will love exploring Beaumaris castle which is just a hop and a skip from the cottage and crabbing expeditions on Beaumaris Pier are a must - you can buy lines and bait nearby. Take a boat ride from the pier along the coast and around Puffin Island. Garden lovers will enjoy visiting the gardens at Plas Cadnant and Plas Newydd NT, both just short drives away.
And from Beaumaris, the whole of Anglesey with its beautifully varied coastline is within easy reach - head off for sandy beach days or pull on your walking boots and walk stretches of the glorious Anglesey coastal path. Coffee and cake at a local cafe are optional!
