A modern Bolthole for eight near to Rhoscolyn and Trearddur Bay
Explore Anglesey and beyond from this gem in Four Mile Bridge. This beautifully appointed holiday house is just a short walk to the inland sea and near the beaches at Trearddur Bay and Rhoscolyn.
Step inside Madrona and be wowed by the sense of space. An oak staircase transports you upstairs: the ceiling soars, and so will your heart when you see the huge space that beckons.
The windows are floor-to-ceiling, so light tumbles in. If the weather dampens enthusiasm for the outdoors, take advantage of those comfortable sofas and say goodbye to the world for a few hours. Or step back outside and through a glass door to a covered veranda and soak up the view and read a book. Sit, drink in hand, while the cook whips up supper in the super-stylish kitchen. It is open plan which means this is a great space for entertaining.
The ground floor hosts four smart bedrooms. Two with sleek ensuite shower rooms and all with beautifully dressed and deeply restful beds. Lush blackout curtains mean you’ll feel utterly reinvigorated after a stay here. A family bathroom and a utility room mean that washing away the salt and spray from beach days is no chore here.
On sunny days you’ll be in the garden, private and tucked away from the lane. It’s an idyllic spot, helped along by the gathering spot with a beer station and BBQ. Fortified by locally caught seafood and beer, rest easy on a sun lounger and nap.
If you’re feeling really lazy, then in-house catering can be arranged, or you can nip over to White Eagle in nearby Rhoscolyn for excellent food. Trearddur Bay is just a couple of miles away – full of cafes and restaurants like the Sea Shanty and the Driftwood Bar and Restaurant and hugging an arc of sandy beach.
Madrona is a haven for families, friends and dogs to enjoy in a beautiful corner of Anglesey, which is a mecca for water sports enthusiasts and a gateway for walks on the coast. Head off on a road trip around Anglesey or to Snowdonia - there are tonnes of things to see and do.
