A beautifully restored coach house for 6 nestled in the Anglesey countryside
A gem of a holiday cottage, Ty Coets is tucked away in the Anglesey countryside, not far from the villages of LlanfairPG and Brynsiencyn. Located on the edge of a complex of beautifully converted barns, it is close to the National Trust’s Plas Newydd and just a short drive from the Sea Zoo, Foel Farm, Hooton’s Farm Shop and Menai Bridge. An ideal base for a break on the island at any time of the year.
Ty Coets sleeps up to six people in three lovely bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor with an ensuite shower room. A winter low occupancy discount applies for couples using one bedroom.
The living space is light and airy, open plan and framed by huge arched coach house windows. The kitchen area is well equipped, and meals can be enjoyed at the large farmhouse style table, which seats up to six. Buy fresh, locally grown produce at Hooton's Homegrown and cook a feast.
With comfortable seating and a cheery wood burning stove, the sitting area draws you to relax and enjoy the space around you and the rural views. There’s also a separate cosy snug area with a sofa, TV and DVD, which is ideal for film nights for the kids or when you want a little bit of space! The snug has Netflix, Disney+, DVDs, books and games. Perfect for those rainy indoor days!
The downstairs double bedroom is ensuite with a shower and has a door leading out onto the patio garden. A lovely space to read and relax.
Upstairs, you will find two further bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one twin bedded room with original beams and a glaze view of the original stonework. They share a well-appointed family bathroom with a bathtub perfect for washing away the day when you return from exploring.
Outside, the suntrap small garden is fully enclosed with seating to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee or evening drink. There is designated parking for two cars and further visitor spaces if needed.
Ty Coets is located in a beautifully quiet location, surrounded by ancient woods home to protected wildlife such as red squirrels, bats and newts. Plas Newydd NT is just across the road – in fact, Ty Coets was originally part of the estate - and the mountain view from the gardens are stunning. The Anglesey Coastal path runs along the driveway - hours of exploring await. Historic Bryn Celli Ddu is close by and the Menai Strait a short walk away.
The coastal town of Menai Bridge which sits on the edge of the Menai Strait is just a 10-minute drive away, with lovely restaurants, cafes and independent shops. If you enjoy exploring gardens, then a visit to Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens is a must. The coastal town of Beaumaris, with its medieval castle and Victorian pier, is a little further along the strait. Children will have hours of fun at the Sea Zoo and Foel Farm and will love the butterflies at Pili Palas.
So much to do! Pack up a picnic and head to Newborough Forest which backs onto the most amazing sandy beach and views out over Snowdonia and the Llÿn Peninsula. Then head home to relax at this beautiful Hideaway.
