Upon arrival, a light and bright house welcomes you, inviting you to drop everything in the large entrance hall so you can run to the conservatory to absorb the most spectacular views. You know you have chosen the most wonderful house to gather family and friends in.
Enter a gorgeous, open-plan living, dining room, and kitchen. This is the heart of the house, beautifully designed with gentle colours that help bring the outside in through large light-filled windows. Snuggle up on the two large comfy sofas and armchair – with the log burning lit and friends and family surrounding you. The feeling of being at home with a library of books to draw you toward relaxation, as you think about cooking supper and eating at the farmhouse table, is such a welcome treat. The newly painted and well-equipped kitchen cries out to cooks who will love it as it is perfectly positioned with no need to tuck yourself away and cook – you can enjoy all the chat and views as you create your latest feast. The sunrises and sunsets are incredible on Anglesey and this is the room to view them all from. Heavenly.
Tan Y Bryn is the most incredible house if two families wish to holiday together. With independent stairs to two sets of bedrooms, you can stop worrying if your children are up in the night! With plenty of spotless bathrooms and a downstairs cloakroom with WC and masses of coat hanging space, you know the only difficult thing this holiday is deciding what to do!
From the main entrance hall head up the first set of stairs to a double bedroom and en-suite shower room. Next door is a twin room with the most amazing views with dual aspect windows. A shower room with WC completes this section of the house.
The other set of bedrooms is reached via another spacious hall – here you will find a piano for all the budding musicians to practise away. On the ground floor, you will find a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Gaze out the window and enjoy the breathtaking sea views shared by the conservatory and living room.
Up the second set of stairs, you will find a children’s bedroom. With the possibility of two single beds, using the truckle bed and another smaller cot bed, you will find this room gives you a lot of flexibility. This can be used as a single bedroom for an adult. Next door is a double bedroom with views over the garden looking towards the mountains of Snowdonia. Finally, there is a family bathroom complete with a shower and bath shouting out for bubbles and relaxing soaks!
Dogs will be happy here too. Just inside the front door, they will find their very own room where they can relax away after their walks. With a tiled floor you know you can relax and allow wet dogs to dry off before they come in the house. Opposite is a handy utility room with an extra fridge freezer, washing machine and sink – not to mention an amazing airing rack that makes life that much easier!
Enjoy the outdoor life on the front patio on the enormous wicker corner lounging set with thick comfy cushions. Seating at least 8 and two big wicker comfy chairs and a long low glass table. Sometimes the Isle of Man is visible on the horizon, cook a BBQ on the large and small Webber and eat on the 8-seater wooden picnic table and the wrought iron 4 seater table. The garden wraps itself around Tan y Bryn with 360 views!
Visit Llanddona Beach, within a few minutes drive of Tan Y Bryn, and walk the length of the beach to Red Wharf Bay. Here you will find The Ship Inn and The Boathouse to welcome thirsty or hungry explorers. Once refreshed carry on along the Anglesey Coastal Path to Benllech where miles of sandy shores await you. Explore Moelfre and learn all about Anglesey's seafaring past, skip along the coastal path to the RNLI Lifeboat Station and watch them launch their offshore lifeboat. Wander back to Ann's Pantry and tuck into a delicious lunch or treaty tea - scones to walk for! In the village of Llandonna is the Owain Glyndwr pub where home-cooked food is in abundance and, after a day of exploring, is well deserved. A few minutes walk from the house.
