Newborough, on the southwestern tip of Anglesey, is an area of forest, dunes and breathtaking beaches with a backdrop of the mountains of the Carneddau, Snowdonia and the Llŷn Peninsula stretching away into the distance. Newborough Warren and Ynys Llanddwyn were declared the first coastal National Nature Reserve in Wales in 1955 - in fact the warren is one of the biggest and best dune systems in Britain. The village of Newborough is home to a pub, shop, chippy and a cafe and you drive through the village to access Newborough beach.
