Willow Cottage is a perfect holiday cottage for two with incredible views over Malltraeth Marsh and the sea beyond.

Located on the owner's smallholding, where they breed beautiful Alpaca, it is a peaceful Hideaway surrounded by nature, from the famous wildfowl on the nearby marsh to the local woolly residents!

Walk under the willow arch into the lawned garden, over the terrace, and through the shiplap porch. Step into this spacious cottage - the boot room leads through into the kitchen and then to the dining area beyond. French windows open from the dining area onto the front terrace - fling open the doors and bring the outside in or sit out at the bistro table and chairs when warm.

The sitting room has a tremendous Morso wood-burning stove for cooler evenings and a substantial l-shaped sofa to relax on. Step through to the light-filled conservatory; you can switch off with a book here whilst enjoying glimpses of incredible views. French windows lead onto a rear patio area with a fantastic log-fired hot tub in a custom cabin - the picture window offers beautiful vistas. Be aware that Alpaca are nosy, so don't be surprised if curious visitors come calling!

Back inside, you'll find the double bedroom, again making the most of the views and an ensuite shower room.

Newborough Forest and Llanddwyn beaches are ten minutes down the road on the coast. All the delights of Anglesey are easily accessible from this lovely Bolthole for Two's central position.

Closer to home, try dining in the Gaerwen Arms in the next village- one of Anglesey's best kept secrets. Hooton's Homegrown Farm Shop near Brynsiencyn sells excellent local produce. Meani Bridge is around 15 minutes drive from the cottage, with restaurants, pubs, cafes and independent shops, not to mention a Waitrose supermarket.

Thanks for one of the most relaxing holidays we've experienced. Jo and Steve at Willow Cottage near Gaerwen have created an idyll. Stunning views over the fields to the horizon from the living area and bedroom. To have Alpacas roaming in the field next to the garden was perfect, they were gorgeous. The friendly dog and cats made us welcome. This property is 5 ☆ with its decor, little touches of thoughtfulness and quality. Thank you for our fabulous holiday on Anglesey. Boltholes and Hideaways are very highly recommended.

An idyllic cottage in a perfect location to explore the island. Beautiful views and sunsets can be enjoyed from the wood fired hot tub. BBQ and a fully equipped kitchen, lovely homely decor and a very comfy bed! We had a warm welcome from the owners who were just next door if we needed anything. We'll be sure to recommend to friends and family, and hopefully return ourselves!

Where do I start? This getaway was my first solo adventure and I can confidently say it will be very difficult to beat. The owners were so welcoming and informative, any questions would be answered within minutes. Being on my own, I was a bit weary and unsure how safe I would feel, but honestly, this place felt like home. Big TV, kitchen equipped with pretty much everything, comfy bed and a hot tub with breathtaking views, what else could you want? If I ever come back to this area, I will definitely be staying there again. Huge credit to the owners, thank you for creating this amazing place.

Really great stay and loved the property, facilities and location. Hot tub is wood fired, works well and was lovely to relax in. The Property was spotless and fresh with everything you need in the kitchen. Owners were brilliant and we would highly recommend staying here.

We had such a lovely stay at Willow Cottage. It was absolutely beautiful! It had everything you could need in the kitchen and everywhere was so clean. The views were stunning and the hot tub was such a nice addition. Jo and Steve were lovely and helpful! The cottage was lovely and private as well!

Thankyou Jo and Stephen for a lovely stay! We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing environment and beautiful annex. Everything needed was provided and views alongside the hot tub were a real treat!! If you are looking for a peaceful break then no further. Jo also offers a variety of massages as a qualified massuese. I booked a Swedish, full body massage and it was great!! We hope to visit again in future.
