Five North Wales events for May

Here are five exciting North Wales events taking place during May, giving you some great things to do during your stay. From family-friendly days, to vintage cars, classical music, running races and pirate extravaganzas, there is something to interest everyone!

When: Saturday 7th May from 10 am to 5 pm.

This annual family-friendly event stretches along the promenade at Colwyn Bay and is packed with free activities to keep all your family members entertained. There are also plenty of foodie outlets, craft stalls and exhibitors to visit along the way. Visit https://bit.ly/3kDUgfg for more details.


When: 14th and 15th May. Anglesey Show Ground. Gates open from 10 am.

Come and see steam engines, modern and vintage custom commercial vehicles, classic cars, vintage tractors and motorcycles. Watch LandRover displays, jump on a fairground ride or indulge in a spot of face painting. There are plenty of food, craft and trade stands to explore, a beer tent for the grown-ups and children’s entertainment for the kids. Fun for all the family. When: Saturday 14th May

There’s free entry to this popular food festival which is sited around the town in various locations. With a stack of great food stalls, live cookery demonstrations and lots of fun activities for all the family, this event, which showcases Welsh food and produce at its best, makes for a great day out.

When: 14 and 15th May

A colourful weekend of music, fun, children’s and family games and general mayhem on Conwy quay, with a smuggler’s market, craft-making demonstrations and food stalls. There’s even a pirate raid on Conwy Castle to try and capture a prisoner!

When: 27th – 29th May

This popular annual Arts festival takes place in the coastal town of Beaumaris on Anglesey. With a broad programme of classical music, jazz, opera and comedy.
