From a horsebox to Anglesey's favourite coffee spot

Imagine waking up in a beautiful coastal cottage, stepping outside to the crisp sea air, and pouring yourself a rich, locally roasted coffee – crafted right here on Anglesey. That first sip isn’t just about the caffeine; it’s a taste of the island, a connection to the artisans and small businesses that make this place special.

But there’s more to our story than just great coffee. Cuffed-In Coffee is built on passion, purpose, and a deep love for this island we call home.

From a one-man horsebox to award-winning coffee

What started as a simple dream – bringing quality, handcrafted coffee to the people of Anglesey – has grown into something much bigger. From a one-man operation in a converted horsebox to three thriving locations, a dedicated team of ten, and a collection of prestigious awards, our journey has been shaped by community as much as by coffee.

In 2024, we were honoured to win The Great British Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Purpose category, recognising our commitment to making a positive impact. We’ve worked hard to create welcoming spaces where locals and visitors alike can gather, relax, and enjoy a truly exceptional cup of coffee.

If you’re visiting in early August, you might also catch our director, Kristian, in action – he’s the director of the Cybi Coastal Marathon, an event that showcases the rugged beauty of Holyhead in a challenging but rewarding 26.2-mile route.

The heart of our coffee experience: Newry Beach

If there’s one spot we’d love for you to visit, it’s our kiosk at Newry Beach. Nestled on the promenade, it’s more than just a coffee stop – it’s a place to pause and take in the beauty of Holyhead.

Here’s what makes it special:

  • Breathtaking views over the water, with ferries and cruise ships drifting in and out of the harbour – and the stunning backdrop of Holyhead Mountain.
  • Wide walking paths, ideal for a seaside stroll with family, friends, and dogs.
  • Spacious grass fields & sunken gardens, where kids can play and dogs can roam free.
  • A warm, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a quiet moment with a freshly brewed cup.

Whether you’re setting off on a coastal adventure or just looking for a peaceful spot by the sea, our Newry Beach kiosk is the perfect place to unwind.

Supporting local, sipping local

Being an artisan producer on Holyhead and Anglesey means we’re not just a coffee company – we’re part of the fabric of this community and island. We roast our coffee with care, ensuring every bean reflects the craftsmanship and dedication that defines independent businesses on the island.

So, as you settle into your holiday cottage and enjoy that first sip of coffee from your welcome hamper, know that there’s a whole story behind it. And if you find yourself wandering along Newry Beach, we’d love to serve you a fresh cup in person.
