Beautiful apartment in the centre of this seaside village
We love Hen Bost! Until a few years this was the village post office; times change but this is now a wonderfully converted apartment for two in the heart of this iconic Llyn village. The owners, who were also the last postmaster/mistress, still live next door and are the most welcoming and knowledgable hosts should you wish to find out more about this incredible area.
The Llyn Coastal path passes within a hundred yards of Hen Bost and a few minutes walk along it leads you to the golden sands of Traeth Nefyn. Continue along the beach and you'll come to Porthdinllaen and the Ty Coch pub, consistently voted one of the world's best beach bars. Further along the magnificent north coast of the Llyn Peninsula you'll find beautiful and largely undiscovered sandy coves such as Porth Ysgaden and Porth Iago as well as better known beaches such as Porthor (Whistling Sands). To the east of Nefyn, the Eifl mountains rear up precipitously and offer walkers a unique mountinous terrain with sheer drops to the sea below.
When you're done exploring, you'll find Hen Bost to be the perfect retreat. Take a bottle of something cold out of the wine cooler and prepare some local seafood in the very well equipped kitchen while planning tomorrow's adventure, Or head out to eat- Tafarn yr Heliwr (the local community owned pub), the Nanhoron Arms and the Cliffs are all within walking distance. Be sure to sample the range of ales produced by the local brewery Cwrw Llyn in their brewery tap room just around the corner.
Whatever your plans or whatever you do, Hen Bost seems to be one of those places that guests return to, time and again.
