Beudy Bach- chic Bolthole for 4 near to Newborough Forest and beach
Back
Beudy Bach was formerly a milking parlour which has fallen into disuse and disrepair. In 2025, the owners decided to embark on a labour of love and give this historic old building a second lease of life as a holiday home. They did this beautifully, combining the best of new and old but always keeping an eye on maintaining the traditional charm of building such as this.

Full Description

Sympathetically restored by craftsmen, you'll find exposed stone walls built from the honey coloured local limestone and stripped ancient timbers blending seamlessly with more modern necessities such as comfortable beds, a lovely kitchen and plenty of glass to make the most of the incredible views. The only other house down its leafy lane is the farm beyond, tranquility reigns. The vibes inside are Scandi meets Welsh cottage- bare walls, exposed timbers and simple, functional furniture create a stylish but homely atmosphere. The living area is open plan, consisting of kitchen, dining and sitting areas with huge glass door framing the view and leading outside to the enclosed garden. The views of the Eryri (Snowdonia) are sublime.

There are two king bedrooms, crisp and clean with Whit company bedding, and a shower room to the other side of the cottage, equally considered and of the same quality. The cottage is perfectly positioned for exploring Anglesey either by foot or by car, but we suspect that many guests will find themselves switching off, relaxing and staying put in this lovely spot.

Location

Follow the coast road through south west Anglesey towards the word-famous and highly instagrammable forest at Newborough and Llanddwyn beach and Island beyond.
Before this, break off onto quiet lanes heading down towards the sea and you'll find Pen Lon Quirt, a bucolic paradise with views of the mountains to die for. This is a Dark Sky area with very little light pollution.

Its a lovely walk down the lane, joining onto the coastal path 100 metres away which then leads over the Warren (2 miles or so) and into the forest. The Anglesey Riding School can be found down here. The excellent y Marram (Good Food Guide featured and run by the Barrie brothers of Great British Menu fame) is a mile or so away but you'll need to jump into the car to Menai Bridge (10 mins) or Beaumaris (20 mins) for a wider range of restaurants and pubs. If country walks, wide open beaches and peace and quiet are more your thing, you've found the right spot.
