A stunning cottage for eight with a two acre garden overlooking Borth Wen beach, Rhoscolyn
Back
Cae Llyn is a beautiful holiday house in a stunning setting with views over Rhoscolyn Bay.

Full Description

Ce Llyn sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms (two double, two twins) and welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs. With a private path down onto Borthwen beach, you will love the incredible coastal views and open skies Cae Llyn commands.

This period holiday house maintains much of its original 1930s charm and detail. Cosy and welcoming, Cae Llyn has been carefully modernised into a comfortable and well-equipped Bolthole, bursting with colour and character. The house has been in the same ownership for three generations and is much loved.

This white and blue holiday house nestles into a two-acre garden that runs down to a safe, secluded sandy cove with private access. This is an idyllic bolthole for children and adults alike, with so much to explore. So, with buckets and spades at the ready, head off for a rock pooling or swimming spot or perhaps head off sailing or fishing. And, with the house being so close to the beach, it is easy to head back for meals or to collect a forgotten item.

The garden is full of nooks and crannies interspersed with expanses of grass. Perfect for games of hide and seek, cricket or simply for a spot of sunbathing. There’s even a little white bridge that arches over a stream.

An all-year-round holiday house, Cae Llyn is also a super destination for a winter getaway. Cosy and warm with two open fires and oil central heating, you can snuggle down by the fire with a good book or relax and watch the sea tumbling into the bay.

Arrive at Cae Llyn stacked with provisions and not hop back in the car again all week.

Location

Cae Llyn overlooks the quiet and picturesque Borthwen beach at Rhoscolyn on the west coast of Anglesey. This is a truly rural setting – there has been very little development around the bay due to the large area of reed beds that back onto this lovely sandy beach. The views out over to Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula are gorgeous. The White Eagle is just a 15-minute stroll away and serves delicious locally sourced food – you could have dinner or lunch there every day during your stay!

Cae Llyn sits by the Anglesey coastal path, which runs right around the island – ideal for walkers. So why not explore right from your front door? The coastal walks here are spectacular.

Those who want to explore Anglesey can reach all four corners of Anglesey within forty minutes. Trearddur Bay is close by, and Beaumaris, with its medieval castle, pier, cafes, restaurants and independent shops, is about half an hour away. The National Trust’s Plas Newydd is a lovely place to while away an afternoon, with beautiful views over the Menai Strait into Snowdonia. Children will love Pili Palas, The Sea Zoo and Foel Farm trips. Watersports such as paddleboarding and surfing lessons are available through Gecko at Rhosneigr, and the more adventurous can book kayaking or coasteering sessions locally with B-Active or Anglesey Outdoors.
