The perfect spot for family gatherings, close to shops, pubs and beaches
Back

You’ll feel tucked away and peaceful here on Anglesey's north-westerly coast. Hidden away down a country lane and on the edge of a quiet cul-de-sac, you can smell the sea air as you drive up to ample parking. There's a field on one side, a few more houses on the other, and then the beach. Erw Fach is a real home from home for big groups of family or close friends.

Full Description

Erw Fach is an inviting scattering of old and the best of new. With touchable brick walls, some wooden floors and robust beams; the piano lives ready under the stairs for a family sing song. Stoke the fire, lounge on the stylish leather of the sitting room – there is plenty of space for everybody (even the dog), to slump without feeling cramped. All generations can stay put happily – bet the younger folk like the upstairs space with TV and games!

A few may gather in the kitchen – the little preparation table is just right for cracking open a bottle of wine and chatting while supper is bubbling. Just in case you cannot be bothered to be chef, home-made pies can be picked up from the local award-winning butcher and deli in the village of Valley. The dining area is perfectly placed for convivial suppers. Or spill out into the colourful garden on sunny evenings and get the barbecue going – you’re not overlooked at all. Sun dapples onto the sun house hidden in the corner, and the pond provides a tranquil feel for a lazy beer after food.

The downstairs bedrooms are perfect with a Family bedroom with a super king zip and link bed and a single too and bathroom next door. Then a super king indulgently topped with a great throw, which can form twin beds as required. Upstairs to two more restful bedrooms the master king room with a distant view of the sea and a handy shower room to roll into. The other king bedroom also has an en-suite and don’t worry, fluffy towels are supplied and there’s bags of hot water in the efficient bathrooms.

Things to do

"We have stayed in dozens of cottages over the years, but Erw Fach ranks amongst the very best! Clean, comfortable and fully equipped, we wanted for nothing - even logs for the fire supplied! A fantastic location from which to explore all of Anglesey. 5 stars! Thank you."
"Our first visit to the house and wow, what a place! We love Anglesey and have stayed in a few different places but this property is one of the best! We were lucky with the sun and had a lovely BBQ in the garden which was a highlight. Very spacious, comfy beds and great location. Would definitely recommend to a friend. Many thanks!"
"Thanks again. Our 2nd stay in the cottage. We had a great time sea kayaking around Anglesey. House was well equipped and comfy. We had a lovely meal at Catch 22 Brasserie, well worth a visit. Hopefully see you again soon Anglesey. "
"Come for half term break with dogs, kids and grandkids. LOVED this house and appreciated it being SO well equipped. Comfortable beds and every need catered for. Beach proximity was great for early morning and evening walks. Can't fault anything and we leave as we find - spic and span. Thanks for a great stay at Erw Fach."
"Our second stay in this wonderful house this year. I am going to miss our twice daily walks on the beach. It has been a very special stay this time as we 'tied the knot' on Halloween in Llangefni - lots of happy memories to take home with us.
This is such a great location and the house is well-equipped. We have all had lots of fun and hope to be back again soon! Thank you"
"Our third visit to Erw Fach and once again thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable and so well equipped. Love the garden, nice and secure for our dog. So lucky with the weather, the beach being so close made walks from the house super easy. Love Rhosneigr and Newborough Forest. Easy drive to Bangor, Caernarfon and Llyn Peninsula (Criccieth). Hope to come again. Thanks!"
"Just come back from our 2nd stay at Erw Fach in Valley and loved it as much as our earlier visit. The house is lovely with all the comforts you need, spotlessly clean with a large enclosed garden which is perfect for the dog. We love booking with Boltholes & Hideaways as we have found all their houses are so comfortable and just have that extra something that makes your holiday special. Thank you Boltholes and the holiday home owners for making our holidays so perfect."
