Apartment in a wing of a historic art gallery
Back
This apartment is situated in the rear wing of the incredible Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw, originally built in 1857 as a dower house for Lady Elizabeth Love Jones Parry, widow of Sir Love Parry Jones Parry, esquire of the nearby Madryn estate.
By the 1980's it had fallen into disrepair but was saved by Dafydd and Gwyneth ap Tomos and given a new lease of life as a gallery. Now a charitable foundation, it continues to host exhibitions by some of Wales' finest artisit and plays a critical part in the artistic heritage of the area.
This is your chance to live and breathe its amazing past and its important present....

The trails leading through the garden and woodland, known as ‘Winllan’ and all the land in front of the mansion towards the seashore were sheltered by many exotic tree species, including the Giant Sequoia near the entrance of the present day car park, which is by today the tallest tree on the peninsula.

The beautiful sandy beach of Llanbedrog (and its fantastic beach bar) is a 200 yard walk from the Plas.

Abersoch is less than 3 miles and has an array of very good restaurants, pubs, boutiques and delis as well as bustling beaches and watersports.
