An iconic house in a majestic location
Back

Discerning groups or families seeking the ultimate in luxury will find this immaculately restored 1920's house to be a unique proposition. The interiors are beautifully designed and curated and worthy of any comparsion anywhere and the location is breathtaking- direct access to the sea and to its own private running mooring and views of sunsets and sea from nearly every room.

Full Description

Imagine preparing breakfast in that incredible sunny kitchen with the bi-fold doors thrown open to enjoy the views of the yachts preparing for a day at sea; lunch could be local lobster or crab at the sunken outside dining area, we can even arrange delivery of seafood so you dont need to venture out. And what could be better as the day wears on than a session in the Welsh Cedar sauna followed by a quick dip- a short path leads from the sauna through the garden gate to the sea.

Inside, the Vale kitchen is as functional as it is beautiful, a huge Aga, two dishwashers and two fridges will cater for the most culinary demanding guests and the large dining table with views of coves, beach and sea from windows to three sides is unforgettable. Or let us suggest a private chef- who wants to cook all the time whilst on holiday after all? We can also arrange a maid service during you stay should you wish.

The kitchen leads through the snug with its raised wood burning stove and convivial seating. Through from here you'll find the main sitting room which has a huge L-shaped sofa in front of the open fire to one end and a smaller dining table near the wood burning stove to the other. Armchairs and a card table in front of the huge windows offer space to switch off or to get competitive!

A morning room (affectionately referred to as the Batty Room) is the perfect quieter spot to sit on a sunny day with the doors open and only the garden and sea beyond in your view. There are also two very swish utility areas downstairs, one specifically designed to offer drying space for wet weather gear. Even here the design is evident, utilitarian sinks are made beautiful with bespoke concrete or reclaimed copper troughs. In fact, the humble sink is always a feature in this house- from the marble shell of the Sauna cloakroom to the Water Monopoly double Basin in the upstairs family bathroom.

Upstairs are the six luxurious bedrooms. The first King room has sea views and an en-suite shower room. The larger Master bedroom has huge double basins and a free standing bath with a woodburning stove to complete the extravagence. A third King bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom and armchairs in the box bay window make the most of the views beyond. There is also a stunning family bathroom and separate WC upstairs. The fourth and fifth bedrooms face the beach at Porth Diana (King and Bunk rooms) and the sixth corner bedroom is a twin with views to the front over the sea.

A new wing was constructed in 2023 and blends seamlessly in with the architecture of the original house. The main part is used as an artists studio by the owners and is not currently accessible (but will obviously not be used duing your stay). A smaller part contains the sauna and cloakroom with outdoor shower immediately outsid

"It was a bit of a cold windy day when we arrived, but it was so lovely to get in this beautiful warm and toasty house. Love the AGA. The house is stunning as are the views and everything we needed for a birthday family weekend for my mum age 87. Some of us walked down the steps and narrow path to the ladder that enters the sea and had super swims to the beach on the other side... watched by family members from the house. Then there was the sauna and outdoor shower. We have have all had wonderful time and hopefully one day we will be back! x"
