Inside Lon Las is brimming with striking colours, furniture and curios. The sitting room is awash with light and lime coated in the softest shade of Earthborn paint - there’s a wood-burner, books, comfy seating and good art. Dogs will love it here too. A dreamy twin bedroom just off the living room has crisp white sheets and throws in striking colours.The swish kitchen has all a cook needs and more - the toasty fire warms Chef's company.
On the top floor, the bathroom is sparkling with a deep bath for soaks and dreaming. The rooflight makes it perfect for starry skies and soap! The larger bedroom has fabulous touches – a vast bed and headboard created from a Welsh style Carthen, and layers of fine textiles adorn the crisp linens. Sip tea in bed, admire the sea views, feel lucky to be here. A handy utility room takes you to a jewel-coloured shower room and outside.

Anyone who loves water will love it here; the sea views from the upstairs, the outdoor shower and a bathtub from heaven. You’ll feel very private and cocooned by greenery here, echoing with birdsong and erupting into explosions of colour when the rhododendrons bloom. tucked and hidden into the garden. On balmy days spill outdoors, sit back in comfort on great outdoor furniture and lounge. Evenings call for sheepskins and a barbecue on the Kamado Joe…Then ease into the bathtub. Take your nightcap out for a lingering soak and gaze at stars in the unpolluted skies. Children can scamper in the secret tree-filled garden - to go wild and explore.Lon las is the place to come if you want to rest, paint, write, enjoy nature and the wildlife (not wild living). Or simply to be alone and to be moved by the coast, by past and peace.

Location

Walking and cycling are sublime in any direction, beaches are close. Walk to the beach less than a mile away down the country lanes. Find Cwt Tatws, a magical oasis of curated interior home treasures and clothing from Wales and away. It just gleams with interior jewels and a proper Welsh welcome. Revive at the café with locals and lovers of coastal life and Poblado coffee for company. The cafe menu sets out locally sourced delights – all fresh and warming. The coastal paths radiates from here in either direction. Porth Ysgaden is worth a walk to see the sunsets. A larger sandy Porth Towyn beach is a cove or so along. Porth Colmon at Llangwnnadl, and Porth Gwylan, which is managed by the National Trust. The nearest pub at the Lion Hotel is less than a mile away. Explore are places to go. The nearby seaside towns of Nefyn, Criccieth and Porthmadog and have a fascinating day out at Portmeirion, designed in the style of an Italian village.
