Amazing views from this harbour-side Hideaway for 8
Back
Without actually owning a yacht, Min y Wygyr is the closest you can get to taking a mooring in Cemaes Bay harbour and waking up on the sea! This four-bedroom, three-bathroom holiday house for eight is perched right on the harbour's edge and its amazing raised balcony gives incredible views over the harbour, beaches and headland beyond.

Full Description

There is parking for two cars on the drive outside the front door and once you enter you'll find three bedrooms (2 doubles and one bunk room) on the ground floor as well as a family shower room.

Once upstairs, you'll find why the spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area is on this level. It really feels like you're floating above the harbour - the large windows and glass balustrade on the balcony outside mean that you don't miss any of that view. This is a light and bright space, from the well equipped kitchen, and sociable dining area to the comfortable living area which is a perfect place to relax and watch the boats bobbing below. There is also another double bedroom, a family bathroom and an additional shower room on this level.

To the rear of the house is a sheltered gravelled garden with a picnic bench for eight. There are also recliners for sunny days a BBQ for sociable meals and a firepit for chilly evenings. Beyond, there is a further garden area bordering the river with steps down into the water- a perfect place to launch a kayak or paddleboard from but do be careful as the steps are steep and can be a bit slippery!

Things to do

"Our stay at Min-Y-Wygyr recently exceeded all our expectations! The house was so comfortable and spacious for the 6 of us - my husband and I, our son and his wife and two grandchildren (5 and 7 yrs). The balcony is a great bonus for the sea views, comfy seats for all of us, and watching the tide ebb and flow. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything we needed to prepare and cook meals. So lovely to be in the village with shops of all kinds and a lovely tea shop, The Bell. Parking was easy with two cars. The two beaches a moment from the house - one with rock pools, the other with sandy beach entertained our grandchildren. The little harbour and all the boats were a lovely sight. We spent more time here than anywhere else. However, we took the boat trip from Beaumaris to Puffin Island, went to the RNLI heritage centre at Moelfre with fabulous sea views, bought (dressed) crab at Benllech and a lovely windy walk to Hen Borth, west of Cemlyn Bay, from a well-placed car park, though we were unlucky and didn’t see any seals. We aim to be back!"
"Fabulous accommodation! We had a brilliant weekend chilling on the terrace with the beautiful view, having a BBQ in the garden and sitting around the fire pit in the evening. Not forgetting the stunning coastal walks on the doorstep! We could not have asked for a more perfect place for a family get-together. Thank You."
"Amazing home, six adults and not one of us could find fault. There is absolutely nothing that wasn’t
catered for, on our last night we decided on a make your own pizza party and low and behold three
pizza trays!!!! Really above and beyond our expectations. We will be visiting again for sure."
