Peaceful seaside escape for ten with amazing grounds and views
Back
Turn off the road down lush lanes to be greeted by the coast ahead. Moranedd is a commanding seaside house for 10 with vast gardens and a warm welcome. You only have a hop and a skip between you and the ocean – a 7-minute stomp and you are on the sandy Borthwen beach (Porth Tywyn).

Full Description

Find a large, sociable, open plan kitchen and dining space (you can stock up with all sorts of delights on the way at Valley). Through to the vast living areas there’s plenty of comfortable furniture, piles of books, a swanky TV, a wood stove and the most breathtaking views down to the bay. The vaulted sitting room area with vast glass and light is a hub of delight with panoramic views of the sun sets! A small study space caters for those that need to catch up with study or work… Children will adore this place too as there are games for dedicated fun. In the summer the large doors swing open to create a light filled heavenly place and as if that is not enough, head for the veranda - a hot spot for sunsets with a cool sparkly glass of something special.
On the ground floor find a twin room (The Outlaws once dwelled here) with a bathroom. With patio doors opening onto the private terrace overlooking the garden it’s a super spot to be enchanted by birdsong. It’s also the place to be for picnics outside.
On the first floor are four bedrooms – at the front a king bed finely dressed and with glorious watery views, the other front double is equally glorious. There are two twin bedrooms at the rear of the house - the rural views are mesmerising. Between both is a smart bathroom with shower. There’s a utility and foyer for lots of room for boots, wet togs and tackle – you can enjoy the seaside and walk your socks off whatever the weather.

Start wonderful coastal walks from the door. Get the buckets and spades and head down to swim, fish or sunbathe. There plenty of room for boats should you want to sail away.

As light fades with lobster on the BBQ – ‘chilled’ is the word. At the end of the day, soak up the night skies by the lake with a chilled glass of wine.. Stars fill the dark night sky here so gather round and enjoy ! Then drift to the pretty bedrooms in soothing tones; fling open the windows to make the most of the breezes and dream of seaside escape. Honestly this is the place to be!

Things to do

"Lisa and Andi are very responsive and very helpful during our stay. This holiday home is an amazing
place to stay to explore Anglesey or North Wales. Lot of rooms for everyone. Extra bonus is the view
and it is breathtaking. The kids definitely love the outdoors space running around in the open field.
We particularly enjoy watching the sunset and the magnificent sea view.
There were a fridge and a separate freezer big enough for food storage for our troop.
The house is very close to a local port about 5 mins walk or short drive to church bay. Anglesey has
its natural and rustic beauty. We"

"We had a lovely week! The house was huge and well equipped. It is in a beautiful and quiet location
with loads of space to play outside as well as inside! We loved being able to see the incredible views
and the sea from the sun room. Really handy having a washing machine and tumble drier when with
kids! And the dishwasher is very handy too, and located in a beautiful new kitchen! The hosts were
very helpful and responded to messages quickly. We would be very happy to come back again the
future."

"Had a lovely three night stay at Moranedd. The house is located in a fantastic spot with amazing
views and just a five minute walk down to the coast. So peaceful and picturesque. Everything you
need in the house for a great stay and was all very clean and organised. For the price it was great
value for a large family. Would definitely return."
Lisa, 22nd April 2025
"Incredible place to stay - what a stunning location! We had a wonderful stay here. The house is
beautiful - very relaxing, light and airy. The windows in the lounge area give magnificent views! We
also loved the garden which is huge and perfect for relaxing or running around in. Rick and Lisa
communicated very well and were responsive."

night. Hard to improve on it! Thanks!"

"Fabulous well equipped house, wonderful panoramic views and great location. Wonderful place for
a family holiday. We never had the TV on once as too busy enjoying each others company, playing
games both indoors and outdoors and generally just relaxing and enjoying the peace, solitude and
amazing sunsets.

"Loved our stay at Moranedd, an absolutely beautiful place and so family friendly. We will definitely
be booking again (I’ve already been checking availability). The children had a fantastic time and
loved the garden and the beach at Church bay and the stars on a clear night are phenomenal, the
older children were mesmerised. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough, especially for
families with children."
Angela, 26th March 2025
"Fabulous house in a breathtaking location. Perfect base to explore Anglesey. The facilities are
outstanding with so much room both inside and out. The kitchen was lovely to cook in with
everything needed to cook a meal for a large group. Our grandchildren didn’t want to leave! We
would love to return very soon."
Suzanne, 24th March 2025
"What a great location for a family holiday! Our son and his wife and their blended family of seven
children joined my husband and I at this lovely house and we had a ball! Our kids ages range from 12
to 6 (with a baby of 1) and they all loved the open spaces to play in and explore. The beach is just a 7
minute walk and although the weather was somewhat changeable, much fun was has exploring the
rock pools and walking along the cliff walk. the house is well equipped and we did lots of cooking in
the big kitchen. For some dinners we enjoyed the dining room but mostly the kitchen was our hub
and we sat around the wooden table for breakfast and lunch. The sitting areas are lovely and my
husband especially loved being able to escape the endless games of monopoly to read in the special
sun trap at the side of the house. We would definitely come back again one day! Many thanks to the
homeowners who have built a perfect holiday escape!"
Lauretta, 18th March 2025
"Moranedd is an amazing place to spend time, as we did, with our family of adults and children. It is
spacious well equipped and enjoys great views of the sea and across to Holyhead. Because if it’s
location it’s a great idea to have shopping delivered so you have everything you need without
needing to leave this lovely house! We spent much of our time looking out from the delightful sun
room across the beautiful spacious garden to the sea. Thanks Lisa for great communications we
hope to return"
Norma, 18th March 2025

Joanne, 27th February 2025
"Thank you for a lovely week in your beautiful home"
Morten, 18th February 2025
"Fantastic spacious house for a family holiday. Spacious bedrooms and living areas. Sun room has
fantastic views. Kitchen and dining room make self catering for a large family easy.
Lovely garden for sitting and relaxing and safe for children to play.
Our grandson loved the beach at Church Bay which is within walking distance along the coastal path
and we loved the cafe. Needed to take the car for younger children and grandparents plus all the
beach paraphernalia, parking was a bit of an issue on sunny days but always found somewhere.
All was very clean and well equipped and hosts responded very quickly to any questions and minor
issues
All in all a lovely family holiday."
Jill, 16th February 2025
"Fabulous place to stay. The house was beautiful, the photos don’t do it justice. Very cosy and
homely, we loved the sun room in the day, and sitting by the log burner in the lounge in the evening.
The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, and big enough to be a lovely social space while cooking
for a group.
The beach is just a short walk away, and we were able to do a great 6 mile circular walk directly from
the house.
Lisa and Rick were really easy to communicate with, and were very flexible and helpful, thanks so
much.
We had 3 nights here, but would happily have stayed longer."
Julie , 11th February 2025
"We enjoyed this beautiful home with a group of friends. The views were amazing from the house
and facilities better than expected. Close enough to walk to the beach with children. We would
definitely recommend"
Francesca, 21st January 2025
"We needed somewhere large enough for a family trip and this seemed to fit the bill. When we got
there we were all blown away by the incredible views - on the last day, we just sat in the sun lounge
area and chatted whilst watching the ships come and go. A great place to get away from the city and
spend some quality time with loved ones. Tons of space - we barely used most of the house - the
kitchen is well equipped and was a great place to eat, drink and reminisce. We will definitely look at
this place next time we visit Anglesey and looking through the guest book, it wasn't a surprise to see
many repeat visitors. The hosts were fantastic - great communication, highly recommended."
James, 16th December 2024
"The house is beautiful, has amazing views and a gorgeous garden.
It’s very well equipped and furnished.
Was lovely and warm on such a windy weekend.
It was perfect for our family getaway."
