Back

This is a flexible beach bolthole as next-door is your neighbour is Penrhyn Isaf Dau. So should you wish to book extra gathering space, you could both for to sleep 12 in total. Come and get away from it all and toast to the incredible dark skies at night.

Full Description

Inside has a calm, airy and coastal feel but without the nautical nick-nacks – just simple stripes grace the glass doors in the kitchen and dining space, which face the coast. It’s the jaw-dropping view which really captures you here. The sea views are even better from the patio area and the lawn is safe for children to charge around on.

Step into the garden with a good book and a glass of something cold or just gaze at the sea all day. At night, a magnificent display of stars shimmer. A wood-burner in the sitting room will make wild weather days well worth staying in for. Sit back and snuggle up in a comfy sofa with incredible sea views and watch the storms roll by. You won’t draw the curtains in the spacious bedroom. There is a compact twin in pastel shades and a snug double. Down the landing also find a spacious four-poster bedroom to lounge about in, or to sleep. The bathroom is calm and sparkling and has a deep bath - very handy for a quick clamour up the stairs after a swim for a hot soak. Or to step from each bedroom to grab a brisk morning shower.

Location

If dining under the stars gets boring, from the front door the coastal path stretches away in both directions. Walk to hidden coves while watching out for dolphins and head up to the quirky Rhosneigr village where locals and visitors converge for beaches, small shops, galleries, and bars such as the Sandy Mount House and the Oyster Catcher. Plus, kite surfing, paddle boarding and surfing galore. In the other direction Aberffraw is a gentle two-mile walk should you wish to head to the pub, Y Goron in the village of Aberffraw which reopens in 2024. Or gang up for a hearty breakfast at Llys Llewelyn Tearooms – we can vouch for the feast supplied.

Things to do

"A lovely family holiday in a lovely quiet location! A few minutes walk to the beach down a very quiet lane, many other beautiful beaches within a short drive. The cottage is rather remote requiring a drive down a single track lane, perfect for us as we wanted peacefulness. The cottage has everything required for a family holiday, lovely clean bathroom, kitchen, bed linen and towels. The garden was safe and secure an important factor for us with a dog and little ones, who loved looking at the cattle in the neighbouring fields. Communication and directions were excellent, although it’s best to arrive in daylight if possible due to its remoteness. A chilled bottle of Prosecco awaited us"
"Great stay. Very comfortable accommodation, very clean and very well located"
"The house was beautiful, immaculate, and finished to a very high standard. The best shower any of us have ever experienced. The views make it almost impossible to leave, but when you do you’ll find pristine nature on your doorstep that will take your breath away. Leaving left us all somewhat heartbroken."
"Fantastic spot and view, with short walk to the beach. House had everything we needed."
