Arrive to a surfer’s den – well, actually a neat kitchen but it has the laid-back surf vibe to help cooking roll along with a few beers. Upwards to the living space, and the fun travels with you. Funky lighting and Bluetooth speakers throughout. A wood stove crackles and helps with relax mode. The mood continues into the shower room – glitzy lighting and mosaic tiles make for a sparkling, steam shower.Up again to the third floor and just wait until you see the bath! Treat yourselves to a long jacuzzi soak before taking refuge in a king-sized bed to sleep under soaring ceiling and enjoy peace. If the bubbles don’t help you sleep, the long day of adventures will. A tiny bunk room is off the living space and can be booked as an optional extra (noting it is super small and Y Stabl is best suited to 2 people)

Location
Criccieth is a sleepy seaside town on Cardigan Bay, on the Southern side of the Llyn Peninsula. There are tons of places to visit on the doorstep. Take in the flavours of a diverse range of foods at Y Maes – a food and culture hub just by Y Stabl. You'll be a hop from pubs, shops and the 13th century Criccieth Castle.
Sir Kyffin Williams once called the view of Harlech and the Glaslyn estuary “the best view in Europe”. Anoth Welsh great designed the iconic Morannedd Café building in 1930 -architect Clough Williams-Ellis. Now home to Dylan’s and worth a visit for a meal out and a glimpse of Kyffin’s recommended view.Castle’s offer fish and chips and Cadwaladers scoop out the ice creams – proper seaside town fare
If food is not your thing and views are, there are many. Climb Criccieth Castle for fantastic mountain and coast views. Located a stone’s throw from the sea just above Criccieth’s eastern beach, is Sawna Criccieth Sauna. The view from the sauna takes in the Rhinogydd mountain range of Southern Eryri, the mediaeval castles of Harlech and Criccieth, and the beautiful coastline and sea in between. Try a little further down the coast at Black Rock sands - a mile and half of wide-open beach backed by rugged dunes and.look east across the estuary to Harlech and the Cader Idris range. Around the bay is Portmeirion – another Clough Williams-Ellis gem – Italianate architecture and gardens set on a Welsh coast – perfect views and food.
