Waterside property on the harbour at Cemaes
Back
Swn yr Afon perches above the perfect little harbour in Cemaes Bay. To the left is the harbour wall, and the sandy beach of Traeth Bach (small beach) beyond that. To the right are the sandy beaches of Traeth SIncio and Traeth Mawr (big beach!) and in front are the bobbing yachts and fishing boats. Almost every room here leads out on to a balcony and the views here are just sublime. With five bedrooms, five bathrooms and direct water access, Swn yr Afon is the perfect waterside Bolthole in Cemaes Bay

You'll find Swn yr Afon on Beach Road, on the water within 100 yds of the little village square which the village shop and the Stag and Olde Vigour pubs cluster around. Built into the slope leading down to the harbour, its modest to the landward side and has been built so that all three stories facing the sea have unmatched views across the harbour and coast. On entering through the porch, you'll find a well equipped kitchen to your right with steps leading down to the sitting and dining rooms. Bifold doors lead out to the balcony which has dining areas and an outdoor shower as well as a short path leading to the water. Swn yr Afon is in the heart of the village and within a couple of minutes walk you'll find the Stag Inn, Ye Olde Vigour pub and The Harbour Hotel as well as a selection of small independent shops and art galleries. Boat trips and fishing expeditions can be taken from the harbour right in front and you can buy fresh crab and lobster from the harbour wall.

There are two beautiful sandy beaches that flank the bay, one with a beach bar making wood fired pizzas. Continue along this beach and you'll find the path to the Gadlys Hotel which is one of our favourite places to eat in the area, well worth the 10-minute walk!

Should you want to walk further, you'll find this section of the Anglesey coastal path to be stunning. We're sure you will love the beautiful walks from the village along the beach and over the cliffs to the ancient church of Llanbadrig.
