Back
Right on the harbour front edge in Cemaes bay, with far-reaching seaside views from almost every room and a short hop to the sandy beach and cafes

Full Description

Inside is light and bright. The living room glass doors and wrap around windows bathe you with light and views. Gaze over the harbour at bobbing boats and skies and hear the waves lapping. Sublime all year round, it has one of the best window seats we’ve seen. With an outside patio for seafood feasts with a view, it’s a seriously special location.

You’ll find all you need in the pristine kitchen to whip up lunches and suppers and then opt to stay put at the oak dining table or head outside. The balcony is great to sit outdoors all day in good weather, sunbathing or watching the mesmerising bob of coloured boats in the sparkling sea – binoculars await for bird spotting or sunsets.

Three bedrooms are peaceful and pretty– one twin on the ground floor with ensuite. Two bedrooms with Juliette balconies for blissful views upstairs – one twin and one king – both with ensuite bathrooms. You’ll nod off listening to gulls and waves.

Location

Cemas Bay is ancient fishing village with tons on the doorstep. You’re right in the right spot for walking, bike rides, fishing, spotting birds and sheep, places for wild swimming and signposted trails. Wander down the lane to the beach for ice creams. On the high street find an award-winning fish and chip shop and Y Gloch a fun café with amazing cake and other delights. Eglwys Llanbadrig Church is the oldest Church in Wales just over the headland on the Anglesey Coastal path. Stop for milkshakes along the route at Llefrith Nant Dairy. Wander into Y Gadlys for food on the way back. The Stag Inn is literally a few steps away if you fancy a pint.

Or drive a few miles over to Holyhead for a film or a meal. Moelfre, Lligwy and Red Wharf Bay are worth a visit for beaches and cafes. In the other direction less than 15 minutes gets you to Church bay for the Lobster Pot and Swtan plus a seasonal Wavecrest café. Less than half an hour gets you Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)

Then return for a late-night drink as stars appear on clear nights and sit on the balcony. Balm for the soul
