Sitting quietly in the corner of an immaculate traditional working farm The Fancy House, which holds a very special place in the owner’s heart. Long before this renovation was a twinkle in the owner’s eye Fancy, the farm sheepdog, chose this welcoming haven as the place to deliver her puppies. Forever known as Fancy’s House the name has remained an important part of the renovation. A happy house this is.
Full Description
Drive along the country lanes with the sea in sight, cast your everyday worries aside knowing you are about to relax. It is hard to describe the magic of this location – a deep feeling of contentment eases our shoulders every time we visit. Perfect boltholes bliss.
Downstairs a large farmhouse kitchen is flooded with light, green trees surround this farm and the sound of birdsong is a delight to sit still for. Open the doors to the enclosed garden and dine al fresco or sneak downstairs while others sleep to enjoy the peace, coffee in hand – and breath. Anticipation of the day ahead brings cheer to all – a beach day, an explore day or a flop on a rug in the garden with a book day.
After dinner drift next door to the comfortable sitting room with doors to the garden to be thrown open when the sun still shines, or curtains closed and log fire lit for cosy evenings in.
The last room downstairs is the family bathroom – large and welcoming with bath and separate shower. For post beach hose downs or long luxurious soaks, lovely to be spoilt for choice.
Upstairs two bedrooms sit quietly side by side. A large double bedroom with views to dream over – over the fields to the sea beyond. Three singles fill the second bedroom – laughter abounds, as bedtimes slip and yawns will out. Rules are for school times not for holidays. Listen to the giggling or 8pm midnight feasts, we remember those well and they still make us smile.
Always hard to tear the younger ones away from a day exploring but worry not as a games room awaits – with table tennis, a pool table and table football the glove is thrown down! Dinner can cook quietly while challenges are made – a high score for an extra scoop of icecream brings smiles all round.
For those families who love to holiday together but find separate houses the better option three other houses are on site: Plas Lligwy, Bear's Cottage and Ty Coed. Together up to 21 guests can holiday together. Each cottage is as private as can be, but the gardens are large enough to join each other for dinner under the stars. Let the adventures begin.
A holiday at The Fancy House where the days are easy to fill and quieten all who stay. Return we are sure you will, once experienced always remembered.
