Full Description

High ceilings, wide hallways and a magnificent open staircase give a light, uncluttered feel. This is THE place for Celebrations.

There’s a deliciously inviting kitchen with the largest work island and superbly kitted out and, on cooler days you can cosy up and chat to the cook here by the wood stove. This house is perfect for families travelling together with that big kitchen in which to cook and chat or cosy up by the fire.

Glide up the generous ok staircase and follow the stream of light to bedrooms. Six bedrooms and a dressing room with a sofa bed fan out across two floors; all are bathed in natural light with a sprinkling of antiques, good art, pretty fabrics.
Warm colours and an eclectic mix carry through to the dining and drawing rooms. The Drawing Room and Snug is a roomy space with access to the outside and a fire. The snug section has a massive TV and the sliding doors can create a cocoon for film nights. A handy WC cloaks is in the corridor right next door. The dining room is a grand old place for celebrations with a resplendent window and a vast table.

It is not short of a few bathrooms either. The first-floor master bedroom ensuite bathroom is vast and has a huge old bath and a sparkling shower and great views. There is a “jack and Jill” ensuite for the green and pink bedrooms and another ensuite in the mustard room.
Trot up the winding stairs to the top floor to find a dressing room area with a sofa bed (double) and a single trundle. Both can be added on, and the children will love this space. should the group need more space. There are two panelled bathrooms up here – one with a bath up in the Gods.

Outside are sloping lawns, a walled garden and meadows. A graceful wrought-iron gate leads you to the sheltered walled space – this is your own Secret Garden. Wander through the walled doorway through to lush green walks around your estate. Or drink in the fragrance of the summer flowers and rest.

Pack a yoga mat - there’s a space to use, take a walk in the oak filled woods or grab a snooze in the walled garden.

Explore acres of grounds while the kids tumble about safely. Ancient trees provide shade, birds twitter and you can stroll for ages looking for red squirrels. You can sip a cool drink by the fire and never go out.

Location

If you really must head out, in Bodedern you will find a local shop and two pubs – one serves food, The Crown. The cook may appreciate a night off. Head for sandy beaches and let children and dogs run wild on the coast too. Trearddur Bay is a gem of a beach and has ice creams by the bucketful at the sea Shanty café. Rhoscolyn is always a joy and The White Eagle is great for Sunday lunch.

It’s all very charming
