Spacious barn conversion for 8 near Newborough Forest
Back
Ty Siam is all about a sense of space, vaulted ceilings and four generous bedrooms in the house with large gardens and a private paddock outside. Two thousand acres of Newborough Warren and forest an the world famous Llanddwyn beaches are literally down the road, all framed against the backdrop of the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains.

Full Description

The house is on a small complex of similar conversions situated in glorious countryside between the villages of Dwyran and Newborough in the south west corner of Anglesey. Access is along a gravelled track off the coast road with parking in the private gated courtyard (there's and EV charger here). Enter into the oak framed porch- an ideal place to leave coats, boots and beach gear after a day abroad. The main living area is off to the left- a huge space made apparantely larger thanks to the open ceilings and plenty of light from the windows each side. You'll find the kitchen and dining areas here as well as the living area, centred around the wood burning stove at the gable end. French windows lead out to the patio and garden from here.

Continue along the corridor to the other side and you'll find the four beautiful bedrooms- two of these are SuperKing beds (one can be made as a twin on request and the other has an ensuite shower room), one is a double and the last is a bunk room. There is also a fresh family bathroom with bath and separate shower. French windows lead out to the gardens or courtyard from all the bedrooms.

The garden is a delight- private and generous. The patio is just off the kitchen which means that the adults can relax over an al fresco meal or with a drink in front of the firepit while the younger members of the group amuse themselves on the various climbing frames and swings. Pass through the garden gate and you'll find an acre of private paddock, a very peaceful spot to sit on the tree swing contemplating the views of the mountains beyond the sea.

Location

Bring your bikes, its only a short ride to access the miles of flat trails in Newborough Forest. Pack up a picnic and make a day of it. Ynys Llanddwyn Island and Newborough Common are beauty spots right on the doorstep. The island is most famous for the connection with Santes Dwynwen, the Welsh Patron Saint of Lovers. Also, for a glorious long, sandy beach – and even a swim if you’re feeling brave!

On the banks of the Menai Straits just a few minutes’ drive away, you'll find the world famous Halen Mon, Anglesey Sea Zoo and Foel Farm Park. Birders will love the flocks of seabirds, along the Strait. Garden lovers can marvel at the mimosa at Plas Newydd, a National Trust gem.

Brothers Liam and Ellis Barrie have relaunched their award-winning Anglesey restaurant under the name Y Marram- only half a mile away. Watch out for special food events. Newborough village also has a good pub The White Lion Inn for meals if you don’t feel like cooking. Or further on down the coast is Rhosneigr for more fine food and ales. In Menai Bridge the opposite direction find Dylans, The Freckled Angel and Green Olive for hearty meals.

You will need a holiday after all that! Thankfully it will be very quiet, and dark, at night so slumber will be easy after watching the stars.
