Summer Forward Planning
We’ve done a little bit of homework on your behalf to check out some of our popular local attractions and whether you need to book in advance to enjoy them over the peak summer weeks.
This lovely corner of North Wales will be particularly busy for the next few weeks, so a little forward planning would be a good idea. Do bear in mind that these details listed below may change at short notice, so check out the relevant attraction’s website or social media pages before you set out.
Anglesey Sea Zoo. No ticketing but Covid guidelines apply.
Beaumaris Castle. Pre-booked tickets are required. Visit the website for more information.
Bodnant Garden. Tickets must be booked in advance – same-day bookings or same-day visits are not possible at present. Visit the website for more details.
Conwy Castle. Pre-booked tickets are required. Visit the website for more information.
Caernarfon Castle. Pre-booked tickets are required. Visit the website for more information.
Foel Farm Park. Pre-booking system to manage numbers. Book your slot via Facebook messenger or call 01248 430646.
Halen Môn. Salt-making tours at Halen Môn are currently not running. Their outdoor cafe is open from 11 am – 3 pm for coffee, cake, Red Boat ice cream and wonderful views. Their onsite shop is open from 11 am – 4 pm. Both are operating 7 days a week over the summer.
Penrhyn Castle. The castle (ground floor) gardens and stable cafe are open. No pre-booking is required but check the website for opening hours and up to date information.
Pili Palas. Entry via online bookings only – https://www.pilipalas.co.uk
Plas Newydd House and Gardens (National Trust). The house is closed but the gardens and cafe are open 7 days a week. No pre-booking is required but do check the website for opening hours and up to date information.
Snowdon Mountain Railway. In 2021, trains are running to Clogwyn Station (3/4 of the way up Snowdon) until 31st October. Advance booking is highly recommended as the service is in great demand – go to https://bit.ly/2Z24cEt to book your tickets. Worth noting that Hafod Eryri, the Summit Visitor Centre, is closed throughout the 2021 season.
