A holiday Hideaway for six close to Newborough Forest and Llanddwyn beach
Cae Coch is a beautifully presented Hideaway for six in the village of Newborough. This lovely holiday cottage is about a mile from Newborough Warren and Forest, a vast area fringed by the beautiful beaches around Llanddwyn Island, one of the most iconic landscapes in Wales.
Fresh and modern throughout, the original part of the cottage is home to a cosy sitting room, a stylish bath and shower room and three gorgeous upstairs bedrooms. Prepare to be wowed as you step into the rear of the property, where a cedar-clad kitchen extension blends seamlessly through bi-fold doors into the chic garden area beyond.
The garden is a haven of tranquillity, with recessed and raised seating areas equipped with an outdoor sofa and a funky bistro set, offering a choice of spaces to relax. Excellent lighting makes it look even better at night, and there is even an Ooni oven for you to try your hand at wood-fired pizza making.
And when you head back inside after an alfresco evening, you can still see the stars through the glass roof lantern!
The immediate area around Cae Coch is a veritable paradise for walkers, dogs and beach lovers. Just outside the village is Newborough Forest - vast and sandy, where networks of paths crisscross each other, occasionally popping out through the dunes of the Warren or onto a sandy beach.
You can walk to Llanddwyn Island at low tide and explore this tiny island's numerous little coves, lighthouses and Medieval ruins. Many a romantic Welsh legend starts here. The village of Newborough has an excellent Fish and Chip shop, a cafe, a basic grocery store, a pub and an excellent Fish and Chip shop called The Codmother - well worth a visit!
Within 15 minutes drive from the cottage are the family-friendly attractions of Foel Farm, Anglesey Sea Zoo and Anglesey Riding Centre. Find out Halen Môn produces sea salt sourced from the Menai Strait. Pick up a length of the Anglesey Coastal Path with a backdrop of spectacular mountain views.
Further afield, the whole island is just waiting to be discovered if you can tear yourself away from this beautiful corner of southwest Anglesey.
