A stunning hideaway just a flip flop from Tyn Towyn Beach.
Hideaway is a super holiday cottage for four which sits in an inspirational spot for walking, kayaking and surfing. A privileged little path leads you from the cottage garden through the dunes to the beach of Tyn Towyn on the island of Anglesey. In four glorious minutes, you are on the beach.
First, park the car at Hideaway and walk straight into a light-filled open-plan sitting room with patio doors that swing open to let the sound of the sea creep in. At one end is a newly-installed sage green kitchen with all you need to cook up a storm. Then there is a dining space with a round table sitting quietly in the corner. A fire and a cosy sofa and chair at the other end all make for a great sociable space. On a sunny day, step out and dine at the picnic bench .
The double bedroom has excellent storage space and a delicious bed to sleep off the salty swims. The twin is simple and bright. The bathroom gleams and welcomes after a long day on the beach.
From the kitchen, you can glimpse in the distance a proud, ancient Neolithic burial chamber right on the edge of the coast. The Wayside shop just half a mile away has the key to access Barclodiad y Gawres - borrow it and see the cruciform passage grave. Further beyond along from Hideaway along sand and pebbles is Cable Bay. This bit of coast is craggy and gorgeous (surfers love it). The coastal walks just unravel for miles and when the wind whips the spray off the rollers at sunset, it is memorable; as is your peaceful spot at Hideaway.
Great pubs and restaurants too are local with The Oyster Catcher around the corner and Rhosneigr a quick hop down the road with shops, galleries and cafes to while away some much-needed relaxation time.
