The medieval walled town of Conwy surrounds the towering Castell Conwy or Conwy Castle which stands sentinel over the town and harbour. Its narrow streets are home to a great range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, an excellent art gallery and the Tudor townhouse Tŷ Mawr. The rural country of Conwy is vast stretching beyond Betws Y Coed in the north to Llanfairfechan in the west and Abergele to the east and offering a huge range of places to visit and explore.
