Full Description

On a tree-smothered hill with a meandering river lies a treat. Cadnant Coach House is perfect in all four seasons. Whether roaming the Hidden Gardens at Plas Cadnant in search of pears or sitting in a shade speckled nook gazing at the waterfall, it’s a joy of a place.

It's impossible not to fall for this handsome Coach House from the moment you potter up the old stone steps with their iron railings. The interior is full of intrigue and interest and celebrates the history and story of the place. Pale oak beams showcase a stately open-plan living area designed around togetherness. The epic wood-burning stove crackles and you will enjoy the theatrical flourish of sitting down for a feast surrounded by antiques. An evening playing boardgames and then slope off to gorgeous bedrooms.
The six bedrooms overlook lush views and rolling parkland beyond. Fine ceramics adorn each slate windowsill - hefty oak furniture and textiles marry up the sense of place with style. Downstairs find four bedrooms- a fabulous four-poster room with a carved bedhead and glamorous curtains is a treat - gaze out over lawns as you plan your day. A twin has a gem of an ensuite. A triple room is handy and a double is sweet. Three simple bathrooms cater for the hoards amply.
Upstairs, two delightful bedrooms promise a peaceful night – one a double and the other a single.

The kitchen has been designed with imagination and has every bell and whistle for large group catering. Location

A 30-year devotion has nurtured Plas Cadnant to allow its true heritage to shine. The estate consists of a private historic main house, a cluster of stone outbuildings and around 200 acres of lush Anglesey space.
The real jewel in the crown though in this extraordinary estate is the garden itself extending to over 10 acres. The sublime restored walled garden right by the Coach House has impressive proportions covers just under two acres. Now considered amongst the loveliest twenty gardens of Wales, there are woodlands, a river running through a fairy glen with waterfall and a secret garden. Follow the borders crammed with brilliance to seek out the secrets. There's even a Tea Room.

If you can be lured away, an afternoon exploring Menai Bridge is essential and on your doorstep. Beaumaris is a short drive away to explore a castle and the Victorian pier.
Just along the coast is Plas Newydd a Grade 1 listed mansion house with remarkable gardens and views. Walk down to Moel Y Don and along the Menai Strait which is teeming with wildlife – curlews and seals galore. Or a 20-min drive gets you to Ynys Llanddwyn for the glorious long, sandy beach – even a swim if you’re feeling brave!Twr Marcwis Anglesey Column is another must visit – the viewing platform at the top of the Column is reached by an internal spiral staircase – get your 115 steps in to reach the top. The café at the base can revive you.

Return to deep comfort, dark skies, a roaring fire and to be moved by the past and peace.
