Rutherglen is a beautiful example of a holiday cottage that manages to seamlessly blend historical charm with modern convenience. If you aspire to old beams and woodburning stoves, exposed stonework and sash windows but appreciate detail such as a modern kitchen and a bathroom for each bedroom, then this could be the cottage for you...

Full Description

Enter from Wexham Street and into the oak and glass cloakroom and you're transported to a calmer place. The sitting room beyond is cosy and inviting and spilt into two areas. One centred around the woodburning stove in the vast inglenook fireplace and to the other side is a sitting area with comfy sofas (electrically reclining no less!) around the big TV. The kitchen leads off the sitting room and has a large dining island at its centre with a glazed door leading out onto the terrace and the walled garden which has a summer house to one end. Back to the sitting room, an oak staircase leads up to the first floor and the bedrooms. Here you'll find two gorgeous bedrooms- a King Size room and a huge Super King. Both bedrooms have their own shower rooms. Attention to detail is every where- from the local oak joinery used throughout to the quality of the beds and furnishings. A beautiful and functional base from which to explore Beaumaris and Anglesey.

Things to do

"Stylish & sophisticated, designed for ultimate comfort and relaxation, Rutherglen really is a five star stay in charming Beaumaris. We visit Beaumaris every year and have stayed in many places, this is the best! The cottage has absolutely everything you could possibly need, a spacious lounge, high spec fully equipped kitchen, a private secure garden, two bedrooms with very comfortable beds & beautiful bathrooms. We booked last minute on Christmas Eve, and arrived on Christmas Day, check-in was smooth and the cottage heated giving us a warm welcome. Beaumaris town is a few minutes walk with shops, restaurants and pubs, not to mention the breathtaking views of the straights and backdrop of mountains just moments from the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rutherglen and would highly recommend to all family & friends. We would love to stay again in the future. A big Thank you to the owner of Rutherglen and host Diane from Boltholes for making our Christmas memorable and magical!"
