Glyn Garth holiday cottage (near Menai Bridge & Beaumaris)
Back

Shell Cottage is a miniature version of Eryl Mor and Beau Townhouse thanks to the owner’s constant eye for detail. Shell Cottage is packed full of extra touches to ensure your holiday is as luxurious as possible. With private parking and a deck that traps the sun, you will love this cottage inside and out.

Small but perfectly formed, Shell Cottage wraps you in a much-needed hug and whispers "relax". Muted colours calm your soul and ease the tensions of everyday life immediately.

The kitchen is for cooks with all that is needed - a range cooker, induction hob, fridge and freezer for holidaymakers who come prepared. Lovers of log burners will be delighted by the sitting room and cosy it becomes in the few moments it takes for furry friends to find the best place to lie down. Sit back in a comfortable sofa or curl up on an easy chair and move when you wish, no rush. Chat away with music softly playing, grab a book or television gaze – your choice.

Full Description

Outside the deck beckons al fresco moments, a cup of coffee to linger over or a bbq to enjoy. Umbrella up for those in need of shade, or down for worshipers of the rays.

Upstairs the most comfortable of king-sized beds awaits. We challenge sleepy heads to get up quickly in the morning! Stretch out and flick the switch to lift or close the roof blind – yes, this is living at its easiest! Next door is a bunk room for extra travellers and a window seat to rest upon. Each bedroom has a television too for night time watching if eyes can remain open that long.

The final room is the all-important bathroom, for long lazy baths or showers to refresh. Newly refurbished and as gentle as the rest of the cottage. Delighted you will be.

Location

Shell Cottage is down the lane from Plas Rhianfa - book afternoon tea and enjoy yourselves immensely. Cream cakes and sandwiches enjoyed with a pot of tea, leisurely it is. A visit to the Hidden Gardens of Plas Cadnant is a must for those who love gardens. Beautiful beyond compare and a labour of love, restoring her to all her former glory. A cake theme can be carried on, as the café here is amazing with homemade cakes and pots of tea too.

Menai Bridge offers plenty for adventurers with Rib Ride based here – whizz along the Menai Strait at high speed on Velocity or slighter slower on the original Rib Ride ribs. Book in for a FoilRide lesson with Rib Ride, just down the coast in Menai Bridge and new to the strait this year. Scenery to enjoy and laughter to release, a fun day you will have.

Further along the coast, Beaumaris offers everything you will need to enjoy your holiday. Historic buildings and a castle too, crabbing off the pier, shopping to do and restaurants for dining delights. Along from here sits Penmon Lighthouse, a wonderful area to explore full of history and tales galore. If long expanses of sand are a must for kite flyers or walkers of dogs, then Llanddona Beach is a short drive away from this ideally placed cottage.

Explore Anglesey from Shell Cottage or hop over the bridge to Snowdonia where walkers and climbers will be delighted too. A stone’s throw from everywhere, we couldn’t make life much easier if we tried.
