You’ll fall in love with Borth Mawr right by the beach. An easy-going, dog friendly coastal escape with great views and gardens, slap bang on the beach at the edge of Rhosneigr.
Full Description
With everything on the doorstep and a haven for water sports, soak up the sun on the terrace with its sea views, or pack a picnic and head for a beach.
Inside feels like being outside at this beach house. The living room area is a light-filled dazzle of views, with a huge south facing window overlooking the sea it will make you smile. Smart sofas and a wood-burner, lots of games and books and a TV for wild weather days. Or head down to watch the unfolding drama of the sea on the shore. Just a stroll and you are right there on the beach. The dining table has the same huge and mesmerising views and can cater for the masses.
Should you remain indoors there's tons of space. A snug with large TV has kid's base written all over it. Just off the snug, the kitchen is a simple set up but there's everything you need and with a handy utility room off it. There you'll find a haven to help with all things messy, wet and salty.
Four ground floor bedrooms offer plenty of attention given to the little details. Calm and warm – to the front are two bedrooms - one fantastically chic super king bedroom with views to the sea and a door to the terrace - you won’t draw the blinds in this bedroom. Sip tea in bed, admire the views, feel lucky to be here and tip into a morning shower in the handy ensuite bathroom. The other a bright and breezy nautically themed twin room with amazing views. Plus, a handy family bathroom opposite with bath, and a vast shower.
Two cosy double bedrooms are at the back with charming art, books and panelling. One compact double with deep colours and the other a cheery patterned twin which can be joined to form a super king on request. The bathroom closest is a handy shower room - cute and sparkling. A large entrance foyer is the place for sandy buckets and beach kit. A pea-green cloakroom WC and sink is a pleasant surprise just off the foyer.
There's tons of space for kayaks and wetsuits. The wild sea swimming is heavenly.
?Outside there is a picnic bench for al fresco dining. Or there’s the sun trap at the front for sunset drinks. Or simply to gaze. And gaze…
You won’t want to leave honestly.

Location
A few steps over the dunes from the garden takes you onto the beautiful sandy beach of Traeth Llydan (Broad beach) which stretches south to the beaches of Traeth Tyn Towyn beach and Porth Nobla and north to Rhosneigr, around half a mile's sandy walk away. Sawna Bach is at Traeth Tyn Towyn beach - wood-fired bliss after a brisk swim. In holiday season Dreamboat parks up next to the Sawna Bach, a family run Anglesey based vintage food truck serving pop-up pizzas, organic coffee and vegan and vegetarian food. It's a must visit with the family.
But if you prefer more active pursuits, you can go beach combing along the coast, or conquer the challenge of the kite surfing, paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking and golf at Rhosneigr. For those that like their planes, Rhosneigr main beach clips the edge of the runway, so pop and watch the jets.
The path inland over the dunes takes you to the Oyster Catcher Restaurant to grab a beer at the Dune bar or eat in or buy a take-out meal from the Shack. A walk to Rhosneigr village provides an array of amazing places to wine and dine. Mojos for crepes, the Sandy Mount House for a meal and a pint or Scarlett’s for fish and chips.Café Noto and Chaplins for ice cream. Plus, a small local grocery shop that has just about everything. Janet Bell Gallery is worth a mooch.
You’re minutes from the Anglesey coastal path for shoreline walks or take your pick of the beaches. Down the coast find Aberffraw with its little tea shop and Porth Cwyfan (the famous Church on the Island). Head further afield to Eryri (Snowdonia), Menai Bridge with its eateries and boutique shops, or Beaumaris for another jolly seaside village – with a castle
If you fancy bringing friends and extended family, Borth Bach is attached next door and sleeps 4.
