Drive through ancient green lanes to arrive at Tir a Mor tucked away on the side of the hill. The deep blue sea shimmers in the distance, sheep graze the surrounding unspoilt meadow and Nefyn beach is a boat bob away.

Revel at the greenery and peace perfectly positioned to just gaze at the sea and gardens. This enviable space is with a myriad of colour and planting is just heaven. There’s outdoor seating (and recliners), a barbecue for mild evenings and you can watch the stars come out as you lie back in the hot tub. The giant gunnera on the lane are worth a visit…

Find a large, sociable, open-plan kitchen with an easy atmosphere perfect for rustling up meals.

The main living room with high ceilings and sofas heaped with cushions is sublime. The patio doors swing open to let sea air in and the views. With a chunky wood burning stove, swanky TV and good WiFi, the space is equally welcoming and fun in the cooler months.

A king bedroom has a finely dressed bed and a smart ensuite to hop into.

The bunk bedroom is pastel pretty and perfect for children with books and games. Suitable for grownups too.

Next door is a slick bathroom with a fizzy jacuzzi bath – the stained-glass window is sure to catch your attention.

Upstairs, fall into a richly decorated romantic main bed after a day exploring and wake to morning coffee on the veranda. With mesmerising views to the bay and a spyglass to watch the boats bob about, this could entrance you for hours.

Location

a five-minute drive gets you to the beach at Nefyn and Morfa Nefyn for a picnic and the gentle sound of lapping waves. The Ty Coch Pub beckons for a cool beer to go with the lapping waves. Otherwise, there are two pubs locally and even a golf course. The community Spar shop is heavily stocked for local produce and provisions. Stock up with delights at Bragdy Llyn – or stay and sample the beers at the hidden bar there on the edge of the village.

A great base for exploring the North Wales coast and mountains – seaside towns Abersoch, Pwllheli and Porthmadog are nearby. A short drive will take you to the Snowdonia National Park where you can zipwire, walk and cycle.
