Two idyllic hideaways on the beach
Back
A grand spot to swim, fish, walk – simple pleasures in a sublime setting on the beach. You couldn’t fail to feel happy here – with so much space inside and out, it’s a peach of a place to stay in any weather. Ty Gwyn Mawr sits in an enviable spot at Llanddona – a pair of simple semi-detached stone cottages that have sat in their landscape for hundreds of years and soaked in views.

Full Description

Arrive and fling open the doors to enjoy the salty air, choose a book and head for the reading spot on the mezzanine or by the patio doors with the wonderful views - the sunsets are spectacular. Spot sea birds with the telescope gaze at ships at sea. Outside are chairs for sundowners or lazy suppers. When it cools, take a blanket, stoke the fire and watch the sun drop over the sea with a beer.
Ty Mawr: Upstairs is a swish double bedroom, all very traditional, comfortable and pretty gorgeous sea views and an ensuite. Plus, an attic room -small but perfectly formed for a good sleep. The double bedroom on the ground floor is traditionally fabulous, with a comfortable bed.
The bathroom with the perfectly poised bath is very seductive for the soak after a salty day on the beach. There’s a place for you on Loaf velvet sofas and sumptuous cushions in the cosy living room by the log-burner. Lovely art on the walls – this is the place for those who seek peace.Cook as a team in the vast kitchen with Aga cooker and masses of kit – you could easily cook Christmas lunch for 12! Cooking will be a breeze and there’s space for everyone to help at the big table. The squashy Loaf sofa is perfect to watch the goings on.
Outdoors you’ll find a large garden with lawns for tumbling on, views to the distant water, barbecue and outdoor table n the best spot for stargazing.
Ty Gwyn: Two double rooms with comfy beds have sea views, and what better way to fall asleep than to the sound of the waves? Fight over the one with the en-suite! The twin room is simple and airy. The large family bathroom is beautifully decorated and with bath and separate shower begs to be relaxed in.
